In order to limit the number of people coming in and out of the house, all in-house volunteering is still suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak.
At this time, we are not accepting homemade baked goods.
Current Opportunities:
Group opportunities are considered on a case-by-case basis. Please contact Lindley at lindley.curtis@familyhousews.org to discuss.
We love our Crosby Scholar volunteers!
If you are looking to complete a few service hours, or a flexible schedule, this is the list for you!
Please see details and guidelines below.
- Many of these projects may be completed at home and dropped off at the Family House between 8am and 8pm, Sunday – Saturday. A staff member at the Welcome Desk can sign your form and help you put your items away. No need to tell us you’re coming ahead of time.
- Your projects may also be done at the Family House. In fact, we encourage you to do the projects at the Family House to get the most out of your experience. You’ll often get to know a family or two while you are here. Please schedule these activities with Lindley Curtis at lindley.curtis@familyhousews.org // 336-793-2822.
- You will need to supply the materials for your project.
- The hour values are a guideline. Please contact us if you believe you went above and beyond that hour amount with your project. Feel free to count the time it takes to plan your activity, go to the store, and travel time to the Family House.
