Heart healthy is always a winner! Chefs Michael Lischke, Jeff Smith, and Phil Roethle, took home the top food prize with their Baked Salmon with Fennel and Red Pepper Pesto. Terry Williams and Will Bryant served up Tacos de Carnitas worthy of second place, and Dr. Michael Lalor came in third place with his Pork Belly with Jicama.
Chefs also did an amazing job collecting “tip” donations for the Family House – raising over $42,000 combined! Our Chef’s Hat Award for the most online tips went to Chefs Billy Hinshaw and Tony Kamnick for raising $6,375. Chefs Rice and Cohn took home the People’s Choice Award for the most tips collects at the event $900.
I can see how/why that event has become the “go to fundraiser” in our community. It’s fun. It’s relaxed. There are no lengthy speeches. Just people having a super casual good time eating and drinking. ~Dr. Lischke
