4/1/2020: Coronavirus Update
A message to our friends and family:
Illness and injury don’t pause for a pandemic. That’s why the SECU Family House has been working with hospital and community partners to ensure compliance with national and local guidelines to continue to serve families who need us.
However, occupancy has dropped significantly in the past week as we face tightened restrictions at our partnering hospitals and statewide shelter-in-place declarations. We have made the difficult decision to temporarily close to guests effective Friday, April 3.
We are working with hospital case workers to find alternate accommodations for our remaining guests. We will work to make the transition as easy as possible for them under the circumstances.
We will reopen to guests as soon as the hospitals need us again. In the meantime, we remain a partner for our hospitals, providing referral help to any patients and families who still need lodging in our community.
Affordable lodging for Novant Health and Wake Forest Baptist Health patients and caregivers. Stay near the hospital and your loved one.
