We Can Help
There is a new support services section on the Family House website that gives you resources and organizations that may help in your county or health situation. We want to care for the whole person
—body, mind, and spirit.
So on days when you put your laundry in the fridge, navigate over to our Support Services tab on our website to explore what is available to you.
Here are some highlights of the support services directory:
- Support Services blog – a monthly post that deals with issues surrounding healthcare, caregiving, and sickness.
- Community Services by State and County – if you live in Ashe, Caldwell, Catawba, Watauga, or Wilkes, North Carolina, Virginia, or West Virginia, you’ll find a list of agencies in your neighborhood that provide caregiving and health related services.
- Decisions – currently a top post on the blog, this post talks about Advance Care Directives and how to start making your own.
- Caregiving Resources – there is a directory of resources that is updated often, as well as websites and organizations that can help you find resources on navigating the healthcare system and talking with your doctors, stress relief tips, healthcare and legal concerns, and help with discharge.
