Donate A Vehicle
Selling a vehicle takes time, money, advertising, and more. Have you considered the advantages of donating a vehicle to the SECU Family House? Not only will you cruise past the hassles of selling, but you’ll make a lasting impact.
From coast to coast, the Family House is now able to accept donated vehicles. We use the proceeds from donated cars, trucks, SUVs, RVs, boats, motorcycles and even airplanes to help make sure families in medical crisis have a comfortable, affordable place to stay.
Here’s How It Works:
- Call (855) 500-RIDE or (855) 500-7433 or submit the secure online form.
- Schedule Your Free Pick-up: Within 48 hours, one of our Vehicle Donor Support Representatives will contact you to complete the donation. In most cases, we can schedule the vehicle pick-up with a preferred licensed vendor on the initial call once the donation record has been completed.
- Receive a Donation Receipt. Vehicle donations are tax-deductible, and we work to get the highest return per vehicle for you. According to the IRS Guidelines, you may claim fair market value for your donation up to the actual sale value. If your vehicle is sold for more than $500, the maximum amount of your deduction will be the sales price of the vehicle.
The Family House has partnered with CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) to help run our vehicle donation program. We are grateful and excited to move forward together in providing affordable lodging for partients and caregivers traveling to Winston Salem for medical treatment.
