Giving During a Pandemic
Lisa and George came to the Family House through the illness and passing of one of their young nieces, who left behind two beautiful children who love her very much.
The experience of this sad event was a bit less traumatic because of the serenity and tranquility that they were able to embrace while staying at the Family House and walking on the beautiful picturesque and pastoral grounds.
Lisa and George find it in their hearts to donate monthly. Here’s a short thank you note from them that accompanied one of their gifts, shared with permission.
“What an absolute joy it is reading the Facebook updates, current happenings, special events, and comments. You have a very special place there.
Here is our small contribution. We love seeing the volunteers busy as bees helping in every department! You can tell by their faces they certainly enjoy what they are doing. Though we live hours away, we’re considering going down to visit and to remember.
Though our stay was a sad one due to our niece Mindi, it was very calming due to the surrounding environment, the caring staff, and wellness pooches! He was just adorable.
So our prayers are with you all especially during this pandemic. But life does go on. And so must we all. We hope to continue to send something each month as we understand no facility is without physical and financial needs. Though this is a difficult time, we’ll do our small part.
Keep those Facebook entries coming. We love to read them! I’m sure that many others do as well. So glad technology offers a way to touch so many with your acts of good will. Love you all!” ~Lisa and George
