Top Nine of 2020
We made the most of the crazy year last year. Take a look back at some of your favorite moments of 2020. See which pictures you liked most from our Instagram feed!
Moment 1:
Our sweet friend Ronald rang the bell at the cancer center and drives home today after 46 days with us! Ronald was such a blessing in the house with his guitar. He would often sit in the living room with his friend and wife and play wonderful music. We can’t wait for him to return and share their incredible music with us again. He touched enough hearts that even two guests bought an anniversary cake for him and his wife on Valentines Day! See you soon Ronald!
Moment 2:
We reopened for guests in May after a brief closure! We missed everyone!
Moment 3:
Multi-talented to say the least! Lauren Clopper, a 4th year medical student going into Pediatrics at Wake Forest Baptist Health painted this mural. Look to see if you can find a familiar logo!
“I designed this mural to show important aspects of community health and was inspired by working with several of the featured service organizations during medical school. I felt it was important to include both classic emblems of health as well as Winston Salem’s community service organizations as they also contribute greatly to local health.”
If you find it in the Ardmore Tower let us know!
Moment 4:
We enjoyed seeing your sweet faces as much as we enjoyed the Dewey’s Bakery ice cream and cake at our summer ice cream social drive thru! Reconnecting with you filled our hearts with joy and gratitude. We missed you terribly!
Moment 5:
Future physician alert! This group of volunteers came to chalk our sidewalks, clean our side patio, and clean the sidewalks (lots of goose poop)! They are first-year medical school students who are doing service projects during orientation.
Moment 6:
Jack couldn’t wait to get home to his four-year-old granddaughter. He will miss all the friendly people here, and we will miss all his fun t-shirts!
Moment 7:
Our guests were BLOWN AWAY by our volunteers and community partners! Pictured here is our Take the Fight volunteers who arranged for generous cookie donations from local favorite Camino Bakery!
Moment 8:
Cue our exploding hearts! Today, these cuties came by to learn about a big word that means giving – Philanthropy! Then they did a Kindness Parade through our parking lot and put philanthropy in action by donating an item to our wish list!
Moment 9:
We ❤️ Love Week at Elevation Church.
