A $1 million lead gift from the Richard J. Reynolds, III and Marie M. Reynolds Foundation in 2007 was the spark that ignited the Family House project. This gift represents a deep commitment to a great need in our community. Last fall, the Reynolds Foundation collaborated with the State Employees’ Credit Union Foundation to help facilitate SECU’s $2 million challenge grant to build the House.
Now, the Richard J. Reynolds, III and Marie M. Reynolds Foundation has announced a $55,000 grant as an additional challenge to raise the final $500,000 of our $5 million capital goal:
“The members of the Grant Committee of the Richard J. Reynolds, III and Marie Mallouk Reynolds Foundation seek to make a positive impact on the Winston-Salem Community. We are convinced that the Hospital Hospitality House is one of those opportunities that Josh and Marie would want us to support. We believe that this effort will have a long lasting and positive impact on our city and county and benefit people of limited resources at a time when they need help the most. This Foundation provided lead funds to purchase the property and has recently made another gift as a challenge to others to help make the completion of the project a reality. It must succeed. Please help!”
