In September, friends and families gathered to celebrate a birthday–the SECU Family House’s first birthday! It was not only an opportunity to take advantage of the last bit of summer weather, but time to reflect on how many families and caregivers have been helped in one year, and think about how much we can do together in 2013!
Special thanks to:
- Martha Bassett, her band, and her students Ellie, Fiona, and Jesse Burdette, and Sylvia McGee for a beautiful performance
- The South Fork Cloggers
- Pig ‘n’ Out BBQ
- Molly Curran, of 1703 Restaurant
- The volunteer celebration committee, composed of Stephanie Newstedt (chair), Melissa Rosebrock, Mary Walker Fry, Penny Rothrock, and Susan Elster
- Photography by R.J. Reynolds High School student Stormy Pinnix
- Donors who made gifts in honor or in memory of loved ones
