For immediate release — The SECU Family House received a first place award for its March 2015 newsletter from the Healthcare Hospitality Network, Inc. on October 7, 2015.
The annual Best of HHN competition is open to hospitality houses across the nation to recognize excellence in marketing lodging services for patients and families traveling from their home communities for medical care. The Best of HHN awards are conferred in five categories: annual report, brochure, newsletter, video, and website.
“Our newsletters show donors how much of an impact their gifts make at the House. The best way to do that is to share stories about how a guest benefited from their stay,” said Lisa Northrop, Community Relations Manager.
Nearly two hundred hospitality houses are members of HHN and all are eligible to enter the Best of HHN annual competition. All of the entries, judged this year by the Ad Council of Rochester, NY, were of the highest quality. “While all of the entrants should be considered finalists, the winners have earned true bragging rights,” said Elizabeth Murray, Ad Council of Rochester.
“We’re very pleased to announce that the SECU Family House has earned first place in the Best of Newsletter competition,” said Karylinn Echols, Executive Director of the Healthcare Hospitality Network. “The SECU Family House has been a member of HHN for ten years and has been actively involved in advancing the profession of hospitality housing. They have mentored and supported other houses across the nation and have been engaged in a number of national activities and committees. We are very happy that the SECU Family House has been recognized for it’s outstanding marketing and messaging.”
