We pride ourselves on providing affordable lodging and support services in a caring environment for referred adult patients and/or their caregivers who travel to Winston-Salem for medical treatment. Thanks to the Family House, caregivers do not have to camp out in the hospital waiting rooms, hallways, or in their cars. In addition, outpatients with serious conditions and their caregivers can be close to their treatments, which can last for weeks. SECU Family House helps alleviate the huge need for affordable, comfortable lodging.

This year, our Family House has served over 3,000 patients and their caregivers. We will serve 300 more during this holiday season. To continue to provide hope, hospitality and help to families– we need your support!

By supporting us this Giving Tuesday, you are helping families stay close, removing the financial burden of staying in a hotel, or the physical burden of driving back and forth between appointments. The Family House charges a nightly rate of $40 a night to offset costs, but the true cost of a room for a night is $85 a night.
