How Covid-19 Changed the Family House
and how you can help
Occupancy falls from 89% to 38%. Creates initial income loss of $99,000.
Visitor restrictions, hospital scheduling, and social distancing measures are affecting occupancy. Low numbers and guest income loss expected to slowly improve.
Men Who Cook Cancelled
Last year’s event raised $140,000. Grateful to lead sponsor Wake Forest Baptist Health and other sponsors and ticket buyers for donating their admissions to the Family House.
Volunteering is Limited
Volunteers are love in motion, but in-house service is on hold to limit the number of people in the house. Some off-site volunteering is available.
Meal Program is a Big Need
Dinners can only be catered and dropped off. Meals are a significant part of our services, but also very costly. Donations appreciated.
Wish List Donations Appreciated
Wish list items include individually wrapped breakfast and snack items, paper products, hand soap, and hand sanitizer.
House Supports All Staff
Additional safety measures and training are in place.
