A Special Request

Audrey didn’t have just any request for her 9th birthday.

A few years ago, Audrey visited her grandmother, who was sick in a Charlotte hospital. To stay in a comfortable, affordable place nearby, her family checked into the Hospitality House of Charlotte.

Flash forward to 2019, Audrey and her mother signed up to volunteer at the SECU Family House in Winston-Salem. Astutely, Audrey noticed a remarkable similarity between the two locations. She asked her mom if it was like the place that cared for her family while in Charlotte.

Realizing that both places have the same mission, Audrey set off on a mission of her own. Her 9th birthday was coming up, and she wanted to give back. She asked her mom if she could have a birthday party at the Family House and serve dinner to families in medical crisis.
