> February 1 – 29: Drop 10 Challenge
The Drop 10 Challenge is our annual in-kind donation drive. We would like to invite your family, business, or service club to participate this year. Please contact Lisa Northrop at lisa.northrop@familyhousews.org or 336-793-2822 to accept the challenge!
The Drop 10 Challenge is an item drive where your group is challenged to collect 10 items from our “Wish List” (a list of suggested items is provided in this packet). Once you complete the challenge, your group will be entered into a raffle to win a pizza party for up to 30 people!
> February 3 & 17: Merry Meal
Scheduled for the first and third Monday of every month, Merry Meals are designed for individuals who like to cook, but might not be able to provide a complete meal for everyone at the Family House. Collectively, you can provide a portion of the main dish or one side item and feed the entire Family House! Twice a month, we will have the dates and menus posted on our Perfect Potluck site.
Go to the perfect potluck website, and use Meal Coordinator: Gannaway and Password: 3151 to find the upcoming dates.
> February 6: Kid Friendly Volunteer Day
Join us for a volunteer day just for parents and their young children! Bake fresh desserts and make trail mix snack bags for families to take as a snack to the hospital. There will also be supplies available to make a special craft. All supplies will be provided. The Family House has a small play room where parents can keep an eye on playing children, or kids are welcome to participate in kid-friendly versions of the activities. There will be a nursing room and changing station available.
